Matchday Hospitality

The Trust has booked a table for Saturday 26th April, our last league game of the season. Cost is £45 per person, and if you fancy a good day out cheering on Elgin, please get in touch either on this board or our Trust website. Places are limited so it's first come first served. We also have our next open meeting this coming Friday, 11th April in the social club starting at 7.30pm so we hope to see some new faces.

On 23rd January 2008 Elgin City Supporters Society was registered. This is the start of the supporters Trust and with everyone's help we can begin the job of helping Elgin City FC both on and off the field. Lets all pull together and make this true.

We are holding our next meeting of the steering group on Friday 11th January 2008. We would hope for as many people as possible to come along as a committee to form the Trust is hopefully going to be elected very shortly. We will be looking for about 6 people to form the first committee. Once this is done we can then concentrate on a membership drive, and after that it's down to the hard work of raising funds.

Starting to happen

Apologies for not adding this before, the Trust constitution has finally been drafted and last week I posted it to Supporters Direct. They will look at it and then pass it to the FSA for registering. Hopefully within the next few weeks the Elgin CIty Supporters Trust will be an official company and everyone can get down to the business of helping Elgin City FC. Just to keep everyone up to date, at the meeting on Friday I distributed copies of a draft constitution, which will allow people to read in their own time. At our next meeting on Friday 23 November, we shall discuss any matters arising from the draft copy and hopefully come up with our own constitution for Elgin City Supporters Trust. I apologise if anyone already knows this, but I thought it might be usefull to explain to anyone who wasn't there at the last meeting what the one on the 26th is all about.
At the last one we all agreed the way forward was to form a Trust. The next step is to form a steering group who will, as the name suggests, steer us to the first ever meeting of Elgin City Supporters Trust.
This steering group will meet and organise/discuss various topics, not least of all our constitution. As well...

Been away on holiday and working and come back to find 2 and a half days without a message on the "General stuff" part of the board. Everything must be going really well.
