New season, new start

We've had a few months off at the Trust due to holidays and work committments but now we are ready for the nerw season. We are having a meeting tonight mainly just to catch up and "chew the fat". Our membership renewals are due now so please if you haven't already renewed, I urge you to do it soon. Also we are glad to have new members.

Some of you may remember that myself (Daniel) & Andrew (Monster) came up to Elgin this time last year for the Stranraer game after adopting Elgin as our own team. New Initiative

After discussions with ECFC, we have agreed a way in which questions for the Club can be channelled through the Trust. Any member or indeed non member can pass their questions to a Trust committee member who will in turn pass it to a Director, having been invited along to our monthly meetings. They in turn will take the questions back to the Board for discussion. This is a genuine atempt for both ECFC and the Trust to start communicating and hopefully work together for the good of the Club....

Quiz Night

The Trust are holding a quiz night on Friday 6th March. It starts at 7.30pm in the hospitality suite at Borough Briggs. Please come along and support us in our fundraising efforts. Gentlemen,

It's disturbing to keep seeing that the last post on the Trust Thread was on 24th. August, 2008. We were previously promisd regular updates, which would help to keep everyone up to speed of the Trust's progress, but I must say that the lack of information coming through is dissapointing.

Both applies to both Club Officially and the Supporters Trust.

I notice that there is not a group set up on Facebook. I very much doubt that there is on MySpace. This could be a way of promoting the Club and the Supporters Trust to people of Elgin with a computer. You could add people as "friends" and send out notifications for various events. You may even entice more support.

My words have been carefully thought off and typed up. Now I will leave this question...

Matchday Hospitality

The Trust has booked a table for Saturday 26th April, our last league game of the season. Cost is £45 per person, and if you fancy a good day out cheering on Elgin, please get in touch either on this board or our Trust website. Places are limited so it's first come first served. We also have our next open meeting this coming Friday, 11th April in the social club starting at 7.30pm so we hope to see some new faces.

On 23rd January 2008 Elgin City Supporters Society was registered. This is the start of the supporters Trust and with everyone's help we can begin the job of helping Elgin City FC both on and off the field. Lets all pull together and make this true.

We are holding our next meeting of the steering group on Friday 11th January 2008. We would hope for as many people as possible to come along as a committee to form the Trust is hopefully going to be elected very shortly. We will be looking for about 6 people to form the first committee. Once this is done we can then concentrate on a membership drive, and after that it's down to the hard work of raising funds.

Apologies for not adding this before, the Trust constitution has finally been drafted and last week I posted it to Supporters Direct. They will look at it and then pass it to the FSA for registering. Hopefully within the next few weeks the Elgin CIty Supporters Trust will be an official company and everyone can get down to the business of helping Elgin City FC.
