Financial problems is pretty obvious to all to see, not enough paying punters through the gate every other week is the main problem, cant survive on less than
400 payers, its the old chicken & the egg situation ,spend the cash to get better players to get the results & the crowds come back,Elgin should have no
problem in getting double the crowds with a winning team but do we have a board brave enough to go for it ?Only time will tell....

As far as I know, the club accounts are public knowledge, except the detailed accounts which are for shareholders eyes only. The club itself doesn't need
to supply shareholders with this information but does it as a courtesy. However, now that someone has posted them on here we may lose that courtesy in future
years, I'm not saying we will but it could happen.

You mean HIDE them elsewhere and provide a link, so that anyone viewing this board may not necessarily see the truth and miss spotting the link. Games, games, games!! Surely if they are to be allowed to be displayed at all, it should be here, as it relates to Elgin City Football Club. Anyway, it's a year ago, more to the point, what has been done to improve the situation, that is what members and supporters should be asking now. |

A shareholder is entitled to see the accounts. What he does with them is his own business.

Obviously not Ken Fitt. They were removed from here. I suspect had they been a glowing financial report they may well have remained!

Why the big secret about the financial position of the club, is the board embarrassed about it?
Just because we're not all shareholders does'nt mean we have'nt got the right to know how things are----or does it? There are many ordinary punters who probably contribute more than a lot of the shareholders,if the truth be known. At the end of the day removing the balance sheet from the web will not help our financial position but it does make the pay at the gate fans wonder if there is something to hide. |

In an earlier post stewartelgincity maintained we need 400 paying customers through the gate at our 18 home games.
Going by the balance sheet we took £36000 including season tickets which appromately works out at 222 paying there way at the gate, going by an average figure of £9 per head. The question has to be asked as to why the crowds are so poor even after having a reasonably good season up until the last 2 or 3 games. We had better crowds in our Highland League days. Anyone got any answers to it? |

At the A.G.M. was there any mention of the long over due Business Plan and producing accounts that are not a year out of date,

Was the AGM this week? I can't find any reference to it in the local media or on the news section of the website. If anybody was there, I'd be
interested in what went on.

I was unable to make the meeting but i heard there was only 17 present and it was all over in 20 minutes so they could'nt have discussed much.
It looks like a lot have lost interest now and who can blame them. |
