Apparently according to the BBC transfers 2009 (http://news.bbc.co.uk/spo.../hi/football/7806817.stm) we have signed David Cox from Kilmarnock on
loan. Does anyone know anything about this or even the player himself as I cannot find any information about him on the Killie website

True enough he has signed for montrose. To be honest im not really surprised at the bbc getting something about the SFL wrong. Their coverage is appalling.
Sorry for the false alarm guys....almost thought that we might have had a bit of good news. While we are talking about transfers....with Niven leaving the club, are they just terminating his contract? If so why? He is good enough to play for the majority of the teams in this league and would have been able to command a sizable fee that probably shouldnt have been ignored. |

Like us Montrose are managerless but unlike us they still seem to be able to get players in.
To me the difference is that Montrose's DOF is a football man through and through with contacts throughout the country. What have we got? |

Once again one of my errors...I meant t say Hind not Niven. It was a really tough day at work and my head was up my a**e!
Sorry again for the confusion Tattler - I think that your right there should still be people at the club, be it coaches or even tatters himself (I know people wouldnt agree if he was to sign players), but we at least need to bring in some players to help increase our threadbare squad and with the team talk tatter gave after the berwick game I think we need them now more than ever. I think its great to bring in youth players but I also think that getting beat every week will stunt their development and hurt the club in the long run... |

I agree, we need some expeirenced players who have been there done that, becasue the average age of the team the last couple of weeks has been barely over
20/21. But the problem is atracting theses players mainly because we are up north. All well and saying geting in the best of the highland league would do but
when u look at Mark Smith he came to elgin and was a complete flop, now in highland league hes one of the top scorers. Hard to bring in players with no
managers also. The expeirence these local young lads r geting at the moment will do us in good sted for next season.
