Admittedly, I haven't seen him playing yet. But what I do know is that he wasn't even playing for Nairn, and when he did wasn't all that great-8
years and 2 goals? not a great record for any player, never mind a midfielder.
Surely we should be looking for a higher standard than HFL squad players, or can we just not afford the starters, we all recall the Mike Ewen scenario. While I'm on, are the young guys going to get a few starts to finish of the season? And is it true MacKay and Campbell have signed for Buckie or not |

Simply not good enough.
If that is the standard of players we are looking at getting in, and i believe that is the case, then all we we can look forward to another long season next year. |

I don't know why Steven McKenzie doesn't play right back, he's been played there a few times and looked very solid.

What does it say for the young lads on the bench and other players when this lad is playing before them. I thought zander got taken off with an injury but i
spoke to him in the stands and he said there was nothing wrong with him. The Shocking thing is the lad edwards went into left back. Whats the other players
going to make of this and ofcourse zander

Edwards would be lucky to get a game with some of the better welfare sides - miles out of position again and again. Absolute disgrace to hook Zander at half time - made it look like he took the blame for being 2 down when actually he was the only player not to give the ball away. And did well supporting an ineffective left midfielder in Crooks who is neither a midfielder nor left sided. Once again Nicholson was hopeless in centre mid when a real center midfielder in Gillespie was playing out wide. When Sid the show pony appeared I knew we were doomed - Sid offers no width, no pace and no inspiration and how O'Donoghue doesn't slap him for constantly playing him into trouble I will never know. The one shining light was young Cameron who linked well with midfield and gave their defence some work to do. If you are reading this gaffer, no-one can understand why the young players are not being used at the end of a season where there is nothing to loose and valuable experience to gain. Your senior players look totally disinterested and are nothing for the youth players to look up to. Get a grip !! |
