Heard a rumour that Bob Cruickshank has left after some dispute-has anyone else heard anything? If it's true it would be a big blow to lose such a loyal
servant to the club after all these years, as reliable honest people like Bob do not come along all that often and the work he has done for us since joining
the league is priceless.

citysaver,
You're right about Bob! These guys are few and far between, and don't get the recognition they deserve! If the club had to pay someone to do all that Bob does, at even the minimum wage, they would realise the value that Bob gives to the club! I hope, if it's over a disagreement, it is something that can be put right, with both parties talking to each other! The thing is, not only do Elgin City need Bob, but Bob also needs Elgin City, as it's what makes him get up every morning, so that he can get stuck into whatever he has to do at Borough Briggs! |

Bob is worth more than any of the board put together, he works behind the scenes, puts his heart and soul into the club and what happens the board
disrespect him by allowing the drunken animal that assualting his wife back into the club.

I agree totally with everything said about Bob in the above messages. Having known Bob for many years I can assure you he would not have resigned lightly and
his loyalty was 110% to Elgin City therefore his resignation must have been caused by something significant and not a petty matter.

If it's true about the reasons for Bob leaving then i think it's a damned disgrace to treat a man who's life the past few years was dedicated to
Elgin City.
Bob will be missed more than anyone for all the hard work he did, many times single-handed,to keep the place going, and on behalf of the fans i would like to thank him for all his endeavours and hope that maybe the Board can see sense and repair the damage done. |

I heard the reason that Bob left(again) is that a certain Carol Mutch tried to get back into the social club committee this upsetting his wife after there
recent court case she wasn't happy and left, so Bob being the husband that he is decided to leave also, the other helper Ed Stuart has also left as he is a
great Friend of the Cruikshank's,hope things get sorted out as we NEED these people at the club, all the best. this is only what i heard so sorry if this is
not correct.

I cant believe that Carol Mutch is allowed back in the Social Club. She was found guilty of assaulting Pauline and got a hefty fine. If she is being allowed
back because she is a director's wife then it is a disgrace and the Cruickshanks have every right to feel aggrieved. In those circumstances anybody would
feel like walking out.

Bob resigned from Elgin City following an anonynous phone call informing him that the LIFE ban imposed on Carol Mutch after her disgusting assult on Bob's
wife Pauline was being lifted. The chairman Graham Tatters had promised the Cruickshanks that Carol Mutch would never be allowed back into Borough Briggs so
the fact that the board were even considering allowing her back into Borough Briggs in any capacity is disgusting.Anyone who knows Bob realises he is a man of
honour who would not walk away from Borough Briggs unless he felt totally let down.

Bob and Ed will be missed more as time goes by. The board and supporters are completely unaware of a lot of the work they did week by week and year by year.
Hope they are replaced soon as the place will get untidy and overgrown very quickly.

On the back of Bobs resignation we have also llost Pauline who has worked tirelessly and enthusiastically for Elgin City. Anyone who has attended the Tribute
Nights she so ably organised over the past 18 monthswill verify this and her welcoming ways to us all. Thank you!!!

Board and Think.
When did the 2 ever go hand in hand. I hear players turned up in droves to the first couple of training sessions. Matter of time before they lock the gates for the last time. Agenda nearing completion. Agent Tatters return to base job well done. |

What is going on at bb. Does anyone know if you do let us all know. Do they want rid of everyone except Tatters and his band of yes men? This Board must be
stopped before there is no one left!!!!

Can anyone post to let me know where I can contribute to the collection for Bob's retirement. Who's organising it? Thanks.

Never knew he was officially retiring. Dont think he would be retiring if it had'nt been for the Mutch fiasco--would he?
There are a few i'd rather have seen retiring than Bob to be honest. He will be sorely missed in the long term, of that i'm sure. |

Is this official? If I go to the club office tomorrow to make a contribution, will it be accepted? All City supporters who know Bobby will want to make a
donation.

THE KNOCK |
Re: Bob Cruickshank retirement.
|
I think the person or person's to ask are the club, or Cecil Jack. Cecil was cutting the grass the other day and he wisnae half sweating, so if any o you
young uns would like to help, please go down to BB and volunteer. Remember it's Cecil your helping. He's lost his apprentice, so happy retirement Bob.
Maybe the club should hire someone semi retired, who is a bit younger, and has a bit of horticultural experience (here that was a big word for me to spell). I'm sure it would not cost to much. |

Re: Bob Cruickshank retirement.

Knock,
Maybe the club should should hire someone FULL TIME, to look after the pitch, and the rest of Borough Briggs, as these are the club's main assets! Then they will realise just how much in monetary terms that Bob saved them! |
