I heard that Leslie Benzies was going to invest a substantial amount of money into Peterhead FC.
I still can't believe the club messed (wanted to put a stronger word here) that up so badly. |

Noall you cannot be serious stating that you surprised re Leslie Benzies. This is Elgin City Board you are referring to. Sure;ly you read the Message Board.

If im wrong Im sure someone will put me right, but to the best of my knowledge Leslie Benzies has already donated £125,000 to the club and I for one am
grateful for that sum of money as it has helped the club.
Personally I never expected Leslie Benzies to continually put money into elgin, if he was interested in that with respects to the club then Im sure he would have been trying to get onto the board so he can have a say as to how his money would be spent. I see him more as a man who is interested in football in the north rather than a die hard elgin fan. I think that peterhead are lucky to get money from him also, and am sure are grateful for it What the board did with the money is a different topic altogether. So I dont think its a case of what the club have messed up as more a case of his own personal interests |
