I hope he can go on a wee run of goals because so often we've seen him come back into the team, score a couple of goals and then go through a long dry spell.

Two great goals and two fantastic celebrations today, it's great to see how much playing and scoring for the club means to him. Maybe we don't need to
bring in another striker?

Sweet sweet victory. Martin a revelation today for me - tricky and aggressive, up for everything. Goals very well taken. But others too played their socks off
- O'Donoghue, Rusty etc etc ... Demo immense again. When did we last dominate the play so much (forget E Stirling 6 - 0) and control the centre of the park
like we did today? Really really encouraging stuff.

Aye, Mr "Charlesworth you're rubbish" even nearly managed a smile when his second ( a beauty) went in -
although his grumpiness was restored when Martin got booked for taking his shirt off to celebrate ( a bloody silly rule anyway!)

Martin deserves plenty plaudits for his overall performance, Held the ball up well, tried to play intelligent passes and took both goals very very well, the
second especially.
Having said that I thought MOTM was between Ross and Demo. For the latter he's revelling with that back 4. It our best defence. Nicolson and Gilbert have plenty of bite, Kaczan rarely loses a header but Demo stands out. Just class all over. Ross did what we;ve been crying out for today. Picked the ball up and drove forward. He was always there, always wanting to get involved. Made such a difference playing the ball from back to front on the deck....despite what some fans may think, lumping the ball forward doesn't work! |

Now in between all that there was a pulsating end to end game that was both exciting to watch, and frustrating at the same time. We saw some brilliant football, a lot of quick passing throughout the game. Now the best bits. Well done Martin Charlesworth, two of the best taken goals I have seen at BB this season. Demo, brilliant. O'Donoghue, great display. On the whole, the entire team was great. A very small minus, please Robbie teach Ally how to go to his knees and pull up the ball to his chest when a low grounder comes towards him. Only criticism I have against Ally, because he also saved the day on two or three occasions. Here is my big minus, we still can not here the tannoy at the east end of the enclosure, it is just an echo. Also, please could someone sort the guttering at the front of the enclosure, it is like standing in a ditch. |

I was sure Demo was our min-o-the-match. Charlesworth's double, after the stick he's had to endure, couldn't have gone without plaudits. Great
game, good performance all round, just the tonic we needed.

I was praising Ross's performance on Pie and Bovril, i thought he was immense today. Every time he's in the team, it helps us pass the ball about and
keep the ball rather than punting it up the park. He rarely misplaces a pass and has excellent vision, i dont know why he's not played a bigger part this
season.

Excellent result today, just shows you what you can achieve when the ball is passed around a bit. Great performances throughout the team. Great win and puts us
right back in it.

I thought that Nicolson was the best player on the park today. Charlesworth took his goals well, especially the second but apart from that I don't think he
did much although I suppose a strikers job is to put the ball into the net.

Sounds like it was a good game and a good result for the City.
Another couple of wins and we will be right back in it again. Unfortunately due to health reasons ive had to miss a few games of late. Seems they can still win without me. |

Speaking to him last night in the cooperage seemed really pleased that hes back in the team and that he managed to score twice. Apparently hes not properly
fit because his hamstring is stil giving him bit of bother and that he wanted to come off could this be another shally unfit but magic great effort by evry1
today demo OHH magic and what a keeper we have if we can keep that same 11 that started yesterday (incl Shally) and a couple of other boys from sumwhere then i
think we could maybe be title contenders.

Title contenders?
East Fife are 31 points ahead of us. We have 45 points left available ... so if we win all our games and they only get 13 out of their remaining fixtures ... Yes, you're right ... I think it's on!!! |

Think perhaps play off contenders is what you meant!

Right to single Ally Ridgers out for special praise. Did he not have 4 or 5 outstanding saves? Did anyone else see a touchline incident about 5/10 mins from
end. Robbie came out of dugout and hurled a big mouthful towards the lower front of the stand. Opinion round me was that it was directed at Tatters. I
didn't hear the maniacal Geordie (sorry, GL) screech, but is there something going on there...?

I did wonder what had happened when Robbie shouted at the fans. I didn't hear anything untoward being said so we were all a bit confused! Must have been
something bad though before Robbie snapped like that.
