I heard on MFR today that they are talking to brechin re getting MJ back. And it also said that Shuggie is leaving to go back to Ireland at the end of the
month.

Would love MJ back but i heard the price is the stumbling block. Brechin are asking for a high price.

i reckon MJ wld be more likely off to Montrose ,they have more cash than us ,then again you wld have thought Brechin would want shut of MJ as he hasnt set the
heather alight there .....if we do get him ,every chance of the play offs

I've heard that a leading Highland League club is in pole position for MJ's signing. Let's hope not though.

The P&J says we're in for Steven Mackay and Jason Crooks. Crooks just got released by Ross County and Mackay we all know about.

On "Through the window" on Radio Scotland they said we have signed Mackay

Just heard all the news. Willie Martin has gone to Albion. Niven Signed and also Steve "Sid" MacKay signed back.
If a player has been released by a club then the player will get a lump sum from the club in the way of wages and is free to sign for any club outside the window. If Crooks hasn't signed yet then it may happen today or anytime soon. I remember Tottenham buying or selling a player. They cancelled is contract and the player got a £7M signing on bonus from the club he signed for and then paid the £7M to the club he played for. |

Glad to have sid back, he's a good player, but where is he going to fit in? The Left wing belongs to Zander, but i suppose we could play Zander on the
right and sid on the left? He did play left back for Peterhead, but Kenny has been pretty solid playing there recently. At least we've got some cover and
competition for places.

Yes, interesting stuff. If you take last Saturday's starting lineup as our best at the time, where do you slot in Sid AND Niven. The most limited player is
probably Cammy, but Sid is not a replacement for him. Frizz can blow hot and cold though I like him. (Is he staying now?) Maybe Kenny would like a spell on the
bench and dugout though he has been very influential on the park. So much comes through him and Zander. What about Davy Hind as well? No longer an automatic
choice? Good problems to have, I suppose... Why did P'heid let Sid go? Was he just a Pele man? I notice he's got half a dozen goals this season so far.
Play-offs here we come ... with a final game against Montrose at BB for promotion ... or is that just pie in the sky? |

Frizzell has signed until the summer.

Bishopmiller - It's Stenhousemuir at home in the last game of the season, Montrose away the week before. Sid only scored 2 goals at Peterhead, the striker
Stuart McKay scored 6 goals.
Demo starts a 3 game ban after tomorrows game, so Niv will proberly slot into the team then at centre back. Robbie will have a few team selection headaches ahead of him im sure, but that has to be a good thing. We have a number of players a yellow card away from suspension, so everyones going to get to play thier part at somepoint. |

Thanks ecfc. You're right. Got Mackays mixed up and forgot about disciplinary record. Carried away in enthusiasm. Was imagining final game of play-offs v
Montrose.

Sid can also play in central midfield. He was desperate to return as the travelling to and from Peterhead was a nightmare. Its good to see him back.
We're fortunate that we have several players who can play in a few positions, Hindsy, Kenny, Demo Sid, Cammy, Mark, Frizz. It also allows us to change the system and play 4-3-3 or 3-5-2. We may be a bit short up front but a fit and motivated Ches could be like a new signing. Robbie and Kenny have done a magnificent job with limited resources and people are starting to sit up and take notice. Nows the time for the people of Elgin to get behind the lads and make a big push for the playoffs. FOREVER BLACK AND WHITE |
