Durham Exile, I remember well the Morton game in the Scottish Cup. A first half of, "God we have not played this bad all season" A second half of " A great game to win", but alas not to be, but it made us all proud to be City fans that day. The journey down was full of great anticipation, I remember my old man and his pals from Elgin Central in their compartment +@+%%* as newts before we arrived at Keith, but well sober by the time we got to Glasgow. The change over to Central station was a wee bit of a nightmare, as I remember there was only about 3or 4 trains that would get us to Greenock in time for the kick off., but we all made it on time. I remember my mother saying on the Sunday after the game, that the commentator on the radio, not sure if it was David Francie, was getting so excited in the second half that his voice almost disappeared. He also said at the end of the game, that there should be a non league team in the semi final draw. A great day out and a great display by the City.
Sorry Andy, I know you have heard this all before, but your team should have been beat that day!!!
P.S Any body got any photos of that great day?
