My Recent Posts
It has to be 40+ years ago. 17th February 1968 Elgin City 2 v Arbroath 0. 12,000+ in the ground - MAGIC!! I watched it from on top of the Old Pillbox. We played wonderful football then and ceated a record still not equalled - a non-league side in the Q/F of the Scottish Cup. I remain convinced had we drawn Morton at home (we were beaten 2-1 at Cappielow) - we would have gone even further and made the S/F. Never mind Gretna in Europe - City might have been first. Ah well its nice to dream. Will we ever see these days again?
