Sorry Moal,

But sad to say, Junky was a one game wonder for us, as the only game he performed in was at home against Brora in the North Cup. Junky was signed for the same reason that some of us on here are talking about, and that's getting more people through the gate. But, unfortunately, once you've seen it, and it's not changing results, you don't want to see it any more.

I Jinky's book, he stated that he was getting 80 pounds a week from Elgin, but I can tell you he was on 90 pounds a week, plus expenses, and he was put up in the Eight Acres on a Friday night before a home game, sometimes with his wife as well.

Unfortunately, the club soon realised that they were not getting value for money, and were looking for any excuse to get rid of Jimmy, and the opportunity arose on night which was well publisised in the national press. This gave the club the chnce to severe its ties with Jimmy, but unfortunately, we lost three others who also had an involvement, and two in particular, were on the way to becoming two of the best Elgin have had, and they were Eric Martin and Brian Cooper.

So, no, Jinky would never appear in any of my teams, but as a person, he was one of the most likable guys I've ever had the plearure to be involved with at a football club.
