Hi West End Boy,

Well, the "Plots End" was called that because that's just what it was, the end where the council garden plots were situated. Many a day when we were kids, we'd head down to the plots, and sneak in unseen, feeding our faces on whatever was ready at the time. July was the best time as that was when the strawberries were ready. I'm not sure if it's still the case, but up until a few years ago, if you walked roung the footpath beside the Lossie at the back of Borough Briggs, there was still a couple of gooseberry bushes fruiting bthere as a reminder of those days.
