As AllyT says "Here we go ,Here we go". Just a pity that the fellow play-off contenders all managed to win as well although Berwick getting beat was maybe a good one as well. And this is how the rest of the season is going to pan out - it really is dog eat dog, but if we keep on playing as we are we really ought not to have any worries. The game today was played at times in bl@@dy awful weather and unfortunately for us we lost the toss and had to kick into a fair old gale. We also had to contend with some snow showers in our face in the first half as well. The game kicked off and we were 1 up within the first minute. Daniel Moore played the ball through to Paul Millar who turned the centre half as if he weren't there, advanced on the keeper and cooly pushed the ball past him into the net. What a start!!!! A few weeks ago some of our own supporters were laughing at Paul's efforts. Nowadays they cheer his every touch of the ball. Fast becoming a cult hero. We continued to press the Alloa goal and were unfortunate on a number of occasions to increase our lead. That was until just before half time when Brian Cameron won the ball just inside the Alloa half. He made a beeline for the Alloa goal and in spite of being driven wide he got to the byline and cut the ball back and Gunny did the rest. So 2-0 at half time and with a wind at our back to look forward to. By the time the second half got underway however the wind had dropped somewhat. In the first minute of the second half we presented Alloa with their only chance of the game, but fortunately for us their attacker missed his kick in front of goal. Alloa were playing some good stuff with loads of possession now but with no cutting edge. Then a move started by Paul Millar and the ball was passed extremely quickly via Daniel and Gunny to Brian Cameron who again got to the byline and cut it back. An attempted clearance by a defender landed at Stuart Leslie's feet and he dispatched it past Scott Bain for our third. The game died at this point and we could have had 1 or 2 more but hey! A 3-0 defeat to the league leaders was more than we could have hoped for. Again, as in the Peterhead game, there were no failures with all of our players playing for the team. If we can take this form into our next 2 away games we should not have anything to worry about, but with our away form you just never know.
