There will be Special General Meeting of the Elgin City Social Club on the 18 July at 7:30pm, the purpose to amend Paragraph 5 of the Social Club constitution.

The current management committee propose changing Paragraph 5 to:

5. The whole business and affairs of the Club shall be under the management of a Council which shall consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer and five other members of the Club. Of the nine members of the Council, a minimum of four shall at all times be members of the Board or a Sub-Committee of Elgin City Football Club. Four members of the Board or a Sub-Committee of Elgin City Football Club to serve on the Council shall be nominated two weeks prior to the Annual General Meeting. Additional members of the Board or a Sub-Committee of Elgin City Football Club may apply to sit on the Council as per Paragraph 6 or to fill a casual vacancy at any time. The Council shall meet regularly for the dispatch of business at least once a month. Proper Minutes of the proceedings at all Sub-Committee meetings shall be kept. At all meetings of the Council five shall form a quorum.

All Social Club Members are welcome to attend.

We are also currently looking for volunteers to help organise social club events. If anyone has any ideas or is interested in helping out please contact the social club.
