The decimation of today's fixtures is further proof a country like Scotland needs to be playing summer football.
Start the season on March and finish December. The major problems would be reserved mainly for SPL clubs, with European competitions and International tournaments (not that we've had to worry about them in recent years!). However, the Scandinavians and Russians seem to cope. Once everyone adjusted, like anything else it would just seem normal and hopefully, as we're standing cheering on City in t-shirts and shades, we would laugh as we remised about the bad old distant days of nae getting tae the footy because the pitch was like a lump of concrete. Then when the game finished it's a stroll across the Cooper Park for an ice cream and a bottle of Buckfast we the kids.
You could have a winter break but to be safe it would have to run fae November tae March!
