Is there any signing news of any new players or current players re-signing in today's Northern Scot? The website only have a story about the trust on it.

Hi Sam,
I'll think it would be better for me to keep my money in my pocket instead of signingbup for your dream team!!!!!!!!! Be home for a visit first two weeks in August, so I hope there are some players signed by then! Training starts next Thursday, and no new signings yet!!!! |

thought Ross was still in America on holidays ? If so how can he sign people when on holiday ?

stewartelgincity,
Everyone has to have a holiday, but Ross Jack called the start of the pre-season training, which is Thursday coming, and the ground work for new players should have been well down the road in preparation for this. Ross is now going into the post on a full time basis, and as in any other job, you have to make sure that everything is on place before you can go and relax, or, you have everything in place to pick up from when you get back. I posted on another thread, that most managers have already talked to rhe players they want, including those at other clubs, well before the end of the season, and I'm sure that Ross will have done the same. All that's required now is to see the fruits of this groundwork. |

Mo, i agree that Ross probably knows who he wants but seen as we are in training a few weeks before everyone else i dont really see the need to be concerned
that no-one new has signed yet, they are all likely havin a holiday too,if its the end of June and no new faces then its the time to be concerned

Totally agree Stewart, and it will be interesting to see who comes in! My own thing is to see if he takes in at least three good experienced proffessionals to
"coach"the youngsters he will have to use on the park!
If he has that, then who knows! I wouldn't say the sky's the limit, but a good place inthe top five for a couple of seasons would be great! |

Hi everyone,
Well, it's the start of pre-season Training tomorrow! Has anyone heard of any proposed signing targets yet, or are we still in limbo at the moment? Any news or snippets will be welcomed, as things tend to dry up a bit during the close season, with everyone having some time away from football. |

I see in th BBC website that Iain Vigurs and Garry Wood have signed for Ross County!

Not only that Mo, but a County fan on pie and bovril says that Zander will be joining them pre-season on trial. Would've been great if one of the 3 came to
Elgin, but all 3 are too good for the third division, so it's no surprise really that they've ended up with county.

Caley release them and County in the same division sign them, could be some serious amount of egg on faces at Caley if they (ICT) don't go back up.
I hope that Ross can wait til the last minute to sign players, the SPL could be in a serious mess because of Setanta, there may soon be a lot of very good players looking for new clubs. |

One guess Sam!!! Just one guess!!!!
As for Nairn County, who says there's no money in farming! It all depends on what you grow! The County Chairman grew retail parks, and has plenty more fields to sow!!!! |

I see Wick are trying to sign Craig Gunn, the released Ross County player who was on loan at Peterhead last season. I hope we are also trying to sign him.
Would be a good signing.

Sam,
Any club with an Albertz top in the boardroom is good enough for me! |

Has anyone got any news or rumours about the players who have apparently been invited for trials at Elgin at the start of our pre-season?
I havnt been able to get much from p+j or northern scot websites etc about it and was curious to see what kind of players Jack it looking at in the run in to the season. |

It would be nice to get some names. Ross Jack says in todays P&J that he had 30 players at training on Saturday, so a fair few must be trialists! Im
guessing there'll be a few released Ross County and Caley youth players amongst them.

Has Roman Abramovich finally turned up at Borough Briggs or have Tatters and his entourage finally loosened the purse strings, maybe the club really is
financially well off.
The word is that City have resigned Allan Dempsie who was being chased by the majority of Div II and Div III clubs, while welcoming the news how did we manage to beat off other clubs. |
